Breaking it down

What’s going on in my head?
Is it empty like my heart?

I could break it down, consider this
Or I could tear it apart,
Seeking out the missing link,
In search of a new start.

But beginnings always scare me,
The effort wears me out.
Am I meant to be alone?
Or am I the reason for the doubt?
